"Just before Christmas 2005 I was
diagnosed as at risk of diabetes and told by my doctor
that I must lose weight and take more exercise. I enquired
about a personal trainer and she recommended Ruth King.
Three months later I have lost over a stone and feel much
healthier and fitter. This is largely thanks to Ruth who
has been a tremendous support and encourager and has undertaken
a course of graded exercises which I have found very beneficial.
Ruth has a deep knowledge of how the body operates and
the best ways to exercise. Although I usually feel tired
after a session with her, I have never suffered any stiffness
or discomfort. She has a very pleasant, positive way of
working, which makes exercise periods enjoyable as well
as beneficial. I can highly recommend Ruth as a personal
trainer to anyone as she really helped me to attain a healthier,

"I have worked with Ruth for twenty
sessions now and have enjoyed(?) each session. Ruth has
managed quickly and safely to improve not only my fitness
levels, but also my confidence. I can now work independently
in the gym using programmes Ruth has written for me, without
feeling intimidated or embarrassed. I also feel confident
and fit enough to join in classes and know I will be able
to keep up with everyone else. Ruth uses a mix of gym and
studio sessions and the variety is great for improving
all-round fitness as well as body toning. She knows exactly
how hard to push, and I never felt that a session was too
easy or so hard that I felt discouraged and couldn’t
come back for more – at the end of each session I
had a wonderful sense of self-achievement. In addition,
I have managed to lose a total of 19 lbs! I would be happy
